We are a small but mighty team at Sukri Vineyard. Working closely together in the vineyard and winery ensures our wines are well guided along their journey from vine to bottle.
Sumit Kalia
Every vineyard is unique. Sukri Vineyards has it’s own unique place in the New World wines. The journey began when our founder started Sukri Estate Hills with an in-depth soil analysis, performed by soil testing company in Nashik, to help determine the best design for the vineyard. This is a critical first step for understanding baseline soil suitability and the availability of water and nutrients. Mr Kalia believes drinking good wine with good food in good company is the best life can offer us.
Raman Bhawar
The wine business can be daunting. Owning a vineyard is an all-consuming passion. But having Raman Bhawar as chief viticulturist who understands this passion – farming runs in his genes. He cultivates excellence in all aspects of vineyard development to bring our dreams to life.
Mr Raman Bhawar and his bespoke mentoring service tailored to our team from day one as what we needed – delivered in their own vineyards by experts in all elements of viticulture and vineyard management.
Meet the Sukri Team
Nestled in the rolling hills near the Sukri, our 200-acre estate vineyard is planted with our beloved grapes: Shiraz, Chenin Blanc, Zinfandel, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. Our wines are fermented naturally, expressing the true nature of the grapes and the site on which they are grown.
With a small production every vintage, our wines are available in limited quantities at our winery, at our online store, and through select retailers and restaurants in the Willamette Valley.
